PRIORITISING HEALTH OVER PROFIT UNDER ONE MEDICAL UMBRELLA TO REALISE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL NO. 3

PRIORITISING HEALTH OVER PROFIT UNDER ONE MEDICAL UMBRELLA TO REALISE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOAL NO. 3

In the field of medicine, the primary goal should always be to prioritize the health and well-being of patients. This is the main reason why many people choose to go to medical school to save lives, not to make money. While it is true that everyone needs money for personal growth and development, it becomes meaningless if the people we are meant to help and grow with are no longer around.
When healthcare professionals focus more on making money rather than saving lives, it undermines the very purpose of their profession. High medical bills can discourage patients from seeking the care they need, potentially leading to worsening health conditions or even death. Therefore, it is crucial for medical practitioners to put the needs of their patients first.

A life saving approach in healthcare means ensuring that patients receive the best possible care without the fear of financial burden. It means addressing the factors that prevent patients from returning to health facilities, such as high costs, rather than focusing on maximizing profits. Generally, the true success of a medical professional lies in their ability to heal and save lives, not in the amount of money they make. By putting patients first, healthcare professionals can make a meaningful difference in their communities and fulfill the noble mission of their profession.

Furthermore, to realize Sustainable Development Goal No. 3 of ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages, the medical fraternity must unite under one comprehensive umbrella. This unified force can create enduring precedents that will benefit generations to come. Central to this goal is the prioritization of patient health, which must be placed above all else. Through this collective effort, issues such as overbilling patients can be effectively addressed and eventually dissolved. In the current healthcare landscape, overbilling and other unethical practices undermine trust and hinder access to quality care. A united medical fraternity can establish fair and transparent practices, ensuring that patients receive the care they need without unnecessary financial burdens. This unified approach is essential for fostering a healthcare environment that prioritizes well being over profit. Combined efforts within the medical community can lead to significant innovations and improvements.
By pooling resources, sharing knowledge, and working collaboratively, healthcare providers can achieve advancements that might otherwise be unimaginable.

This spirit of cooperation is crucial for overcoming challenges and driving progress in medical science and patient care. Even amidst obstacles, a united medical fraternity can generate positive outcomes. More so by working together, healthcare providers can develop strategies to tackle difficulties, share best practices, and continuously strive for better solutions. This collaborative approach not only strengthens the healthcare system but also ensures that it remains resilient and adaptable in the face of new challenges.

Ultimately, the vision of a unified medical fraternity is key to realizing the desired medical developments in our societies. By prioritizing patient health and working together to address systemic issues, the medical community can create a sustainable and equitable healthcare system. This unified approach will ensure that health and well being are accessible to all, now and in the future.

ENVIRONMENT IS EVERYONE'S RIGHT TO PROTECT BUT NOT EVERYONE'S PRIORITY TO DESTROY

Environment Is Everyone's Right To Protect But Not Everyone's Priority To Destroy. This is because nature is a fundamental component in society that helps man meet his day to day basic basic needs like water, food, shelter. Then why would we participate in destroying something that sustains our lives. We are called to defend and shield the environment at all times. Herbert-Mugisha
