MY ENVIRONMENT MY LIFE

When I talk about environment, I mean the natural components that surround  human beings or it may refer to the conditions and circumstances in which something or someone's growth is influenced, our lives are purely dependent on the environment in many ways . Environment fundamentally plays a very big important role in providing human necessities that is food, clothing and shelter thereby making planet Earth unique from other planets as it's the only planet that supports human life. Its the environment that everyone relies on for one's realization of human life. Me and you entirely have a strong linkage with the environment for it provides a lot of incentives that support the human life. The foods, waters, beautiful  sceneries and many more other components of the environment makes life complete and enjoyable.

Life would seemingly be a misery and disgusting for there are no supporting factors like food which is highly gotten from the environment components.

Think of a life without water yet almost everything depends on water for survival, the animals, plants and  human beings wouldn't survive . The sea species, very many as they are will not survive, fish will be rare and they are people who entirely depend on them for survival, as food or business how about their lives .

Think of a life without food, our lives would be like non living things that exist lifeless wherever they are placed. One would therefore say that food which comes from the environment is so important. So many times we have faced this challenge of shortage of enough food, it's not that people are lazy but most of the time environmental factors have contributed so much towards it. Crops are grown within the right season but they end up being affected by environment related problems like heavy rains, strong droughts etc. The production of food rates sometimes is affected by what we have caused to the environment e.g polluting the soils with toxic substances like polythene bags which affect the soils that support plant growth. We have grown up from communities that entirely depend on farming thereby prioritizing the environment as a number one friend. The food harvests of todays time depend on how much or little the rain will be, so preserving environment components that help un the rain formation becomes everyone's role. If the environment is highly prioritized, the narrative of  having predictive analogies of whether it shall rain or not wouldn't be thought about. However due to aggressive climate changes seasons have changed and this has been highly connected to some of human negligent act of man onto the environment.

More so think about life without beautiful sceneries that make up the environment, animals and unique plant species. All these can only be preserved when we keep our environment clean, and safe .

We have ruined our own life by tempering with the environment, human activities are seriously impacting the environment, for example our societies used to be green, we used to have compounds with trees and other plants, animals in the parks we very many and the various species which always made us have the guts of visiting the national parks and more other beautiful sceneries of nature. Uganda generally has preserved most of it's natural aspects of the environment eg rivers, swamps, mountains but great efforts are still needed to preserve nature.

The seasons have now days changed, floods are now rampant, land slides are on increase and several districts have been affected by the same issue for example Rwampala and some parts of Sheema and many more districts. Lives have been lost, animals and plants have been completely destroyed, making man's life completely difficult and leading to several displacements. What could have gone wrong by seeing such natural incidents that have resulted into big losses? What can be done to solve such problems.?

Trees are rarely seen in the name of development, as most trees  have been cleared for industrial development and urbanization and as a result drought rates seemingly raise everyday. All these have affected our lives or will affect it thus it's high time we wake up and position ourselves protect our environment and make it a better place for our lives, we all exist because of the  environment and we can't live without it. The air, water, food  we depend on must be clean and such life necessities can't be clean when the environment is not clean. Together we can make our lives better by making our environment a good place to live in.

 Uganda is called a pearl of Africa because  of its beautiful sceneries are found in the country, water flowing from steep sides to lower ages , several water bodies with unique creatures, both edible and those which are not, several wild life places of preservation such as zoo, National parks to mention but a few , several Forests and many more other beautiful creatures that make the environment a complete place for living.

A lot can be done to preserve our name as the pearl of Africa and hence several measures can as well be employed for the sake of our environment, that is to say , recycling projects should be supported as these help to reduce on the wastes especially plastic materials as these can be collected and turned into new useful items. I believe this can be one of the effective way of maintaining the environment clean and free from harming materials e.g plastics

There has been several campaigns that have been used to preach the gospels on different topics or issues for example Kabaka run campaigns which have been used to spread awareness on the prevention and spread the spread of HIV / AIDs , I believe the same can be done specifically to spread the massage of environmental protection.

Many people lack information and actually end doing  some  certain acts without knowing the impact of such acts to the environment and to themselves but if formal and informal ways of spreading are highly given a priority, one gets to understand what to do incase of any activity to take place in the environment.

More so paper bags should be preferred compared to polyurethane bags because paper bags can be easily burnt and can easily decompose hence having no effect onto the environment compared to a polythene bag takes years in the soils creating aggressive dangers to the environment.

In conclusion, society will get more better if we make the environment our number one friend by defending it everyday
