The Importance of the environment to Human Life

Why is the Environment Important to Human Life?

The environment is a fundamental concept that hold the lives of very many people in society and therefore without it, human life may not exist. We are from the environment, the environment is very important for everyone’s life, because life on earth is possible only from the environment. All human beings, animals, natural plants, trees and plants, weather, climate are all contained within the environment. Environment not only works to maintain balance in the climate and also provides all the things necessary for life. Due to modernization and the influence of technology developments, the importances of the environment have been forgotten hence chocking something that holds most of our lives. Take a look around you and think about how life would be if we did not have such elements that compose the environment for example trees, rivers, mountains and the different kinds of animals. Therefore, understanding the importance of environment, we all should cooperate in saving our environment.
Below are some of the importances of the environment to human life.
  • The environment provides us with resources for production which include renewable and non renewable resources for example firewood that we use for cooking, water in rivers where hydro electricity is generated from etc.
  • The environment includes sun, water, air, and soil without which human life would not exist. It sustains life by providing genetic diversity and biodiversity.
  • Production and consumption of activities generate waste mainly in the manner of garbage that the environment helps get rid of.
  • Humans enjoy the beauty of mountains, lakes, rivers, deserts, and many other breathtaking natural elements only because of the existence of the environment. To expound this further many countries like Uganda have earned revenue from this kind of arrangement by charging some revenue from people who come to see and enjoy different kinds of breathtaking natural elements
  • Caring for the environment could create millions of new jobs and help reduce poverty. This can be stemmed from the concept of agriculture for example if one can effectively participate in the planting food crops, he or she will be providing food to the community, conserving the environment through planting greener plants which are so effective in for example rainfall cycle formation. The farms shall be providing jobs to the community hence eradicating poverty
  • When humans push into the territory of other animal species, diseases spread. About 60% of human infections originate from animals. Covid-19 is most likely a zoonotic disease (though we aren’t sure what animal it came from) while diseases like bird and swine flu also come from animals.  Making sure humans have enough separation from animals protects our health. Unfortunately, about 15,000 medicinal plant species face extinction, so if they go, humans miss out on potentially life-saving drugs.
There are so many importances of the environment to human life and we ought to know them always so as to protect the environment which is a life supporting factor.

THE BAD BEHAVIOURS THAT COULD SUFFOCATE NATURE

THE BAD BEHAVIOURS THAT COULD SUFFOCATE NATURE In most of our environments we live in so many things are done which end up affecting the environment. its not that we lack the knowledge about the dangers of such bad behaviors but instead some people are ignorant about them. These bad behaviors are done on a daily basis leaving planet earth in tears because no one seems to be friendly to it. Why would you negligently throw plastic bags and bottles on the ground. After enjoying your drink packaged in either a plastic bag or bottle, the best way to show mother planet earth that your her friend would be disposing off properly that plastic bag or bottle. However almost everyone has failed to grasp or know the dangers of such items to the environment. Scientifically it is proved that a polythene or plastic can   take anywhere from 20 to 500 years to decompose, depending on the material and structure. This is so scary  to mother planet and don't feel that mother pl...

ENVIRONMENT IS EVERYONE'S RIGHT TO PROTECT BUT NOT EVERYONE'S PRIORITY TO DESTROY

Environment Is Everyone's Right To Protect But Not Everyone's Priority To Destroy. This is because nature is a fundamental component in society that helps man meet his day to day basic basic needs like water, food, shelter. Then why would we participate in destroying something that sustains our lives. We are called to defend and shield the environment at all times. Herbert-Mugisha
